BRENTA d.o.o. has implemented the project “Expansion of the solar power plant and investment in efficient use of resources and the transition to a circular economy at Brenta d.o.o.”
The project is co-financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021–2026 (NPOO).

Purpose (objective) of the call

• The objective of this call is to support faster and better adaptation of the economy to current and future environmental requirements and, through investment in the green transition and the development of green skills, to reduce negative impacts on the climate and environment, increase the sustainability of production, preserve existing jobs and create new ones, and strengthen local and regional competitiveness.

Subject of the call

• The subject of this call is to encourage productive investment by small, medium-sized and mid-cap enterprises from energy-intensive industries that will result in a more energy- and resource-efficient economy by promoting the circular economy through the introduction of resource efficiency into the production cycle and product life cycle, including the sustainable supply of primary and secondary raw materials and/or decarbonisation, increased use of renewable energy sources and reduced emissions from energy-intensive industries.

SUMMARY: The purpose and general objective of the project is to modernise and improve the production processes of BRENTA d.o.o. through investment in resource-efficient machinery and renewable energy sources. The company plans to invest in a machine for producing plastic bottle caps as a component in an existing facility, for which there is no less environmentally friendly equivalent, and in the expansion of the solar power plant.
